It's Pride Week in Toronto, the "in your face" attitude of the gay community which Appa doesn't really like. Roger, one of the store's regulars, wants to hang a Pride event poster in the store window. When Roger's gay friend threatens to sue Appa based on his seemingly homophobic response, Appa, to avoid the lawsuit, declares right then and there that he has instituted a 15% discount for the week to all his gay customers. This on the spot decision may cause more problems for Appa than the potential lawsuit as he tries to figure out who is and is not gay, as he must deal with this policy in a politically correct manner, and as other customers of other "minorities" want their discount. Meanwhile, Umma is going to extreme lengths to find Janet a boyfriend, specifically one who is cool, Christian and Korean. Because of her mother's actions, Janet feels that she is and has been over-parented, largely because she is often treated as an only child with Jung having not kept in touch with Appa since he moved out at age sixteen. Janet figures the solution is to bring Jung back into the family fold, Umma and Janet who have secretly kept in contact with him over this entire time and know that he has a new job at the car rental agency in the neighborhood.
